Screw conveyors move the material using a rotating screw. They consist of a channel as a supporting part, a helix and a drive. Inside the channel, in its axis, a helix is placed. Screw conveyors are used for horizontal, inclined and occasionally in a vertical transport. They can also perform technological functions such as mixing, dosing, kneading, heating, cooling.

We often see them when unloading the shopping cart at the checkout or at the airport when picking up luggage. However, they are far more often used in industrial facilities for the smooth transport of piece objects, but also bulk or granular materials in various models.

An endless belt is used as a transport medium, which transports material to a distance from about 1m to hundreds of meters at a speed of about 0.1 to 0.6m/s. The width of the belt can range from 10cm to 3m.

They are used for continuous or intermittent transport of piece materials. This material is transported either by rotation of the carrier (roller) or by gravity by sliding. With the help of these conveyors it is possible to create a sorting centre.

The supporting part is a channel or tube which performs an oscillating movement. The forward movement is performed by a smaller acceleration, so that the material is carried away by friction. The backward movement is performed by a greater acceleration, so that the inertial force overcomes the friction and the material slips through.
